Bentley Community Preschool offers programs for children ages 2.5 to 5 years old. We have separate classes tailored to different developmental stages, including:

  • Toddler Program (2.5-3 years)
  • Preschool 3s Class (3-4 years)
  • Pre-Kindergarten 4s Class (4-5 years)

Each class is designed to meet the specific developmental needs and learning capabilities of the respective age group.

Bentley Community Preschool employs a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that focuses on:

  • Social-emotional development
  • Early literacy and language skills
  • Questioning exploration
  • Creative arts
  • Physical development

Our approach is inspired by emergent curriculum principles, where children’s interests guide learning experiences. Certified early childhood educators design engaging, hands-on activities that promote curiosity and independent thinking.

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our students through:

  • Low student-to-teacher ratios (maximum 10:1)
  • Background-checked and CPR-certified staff
  • Daily health screenings
  • Clean and sanitized learning environments
  • Secure entry system with parent sign-in/sign-out procedures
  • Updated immunization requirements
  • Comprehensive allergy management protocols

Our enrollment process is straightforward:

  1. Schedule a tour and look around
  2. Complete an application form
  3. Submit child’s health records and immunization documentation
  4. Pay registration fee and first month’s tuition
  5. Attend a family orientation session

We recommend early registration, as classes fill quickly. Priority is given to returning families and siblings of current students.

Nutrition is a key component of our holistic approach to child development:

  • Provide balanced, nutritious snacks prepared on-site
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies
  • Teach basic nutrition and healthy eating habits
  • Family-style dining to promote social skills
  • Involve children in food preparation and gardening activities
  • Offer vegetarian and alternative meal options
  • Collaborate with nutritionists to design age-appropriate menus
  • Send weekly menu plans to parents

We view meal times as important learning and social experiences that go beyond simply eating.

We prioritize transparent and consistent communication:

  • Digital newsletters
  • Quarterly detailed developmental reports
  • Parent-teacher conferences twice a year
  • Open-door policy for spontaneous discussions
  • Monthly parent workshops and social events
  • Digital portfolio tracking child’s progress and milestones
  • Immediate notification system for any health or safety concerns

Our communication strategies ensure parents are actively involved in their child’s early education journey.
