Our Programs

All our programs are attuned to our community needs. We reflect the EYLF v2 outcomes in our playful and intentional programs, and learning outcomes. Our vision drives our program, which contribute to the children’s sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming as unique individual’s and as significant responsible members of a group, all crucial to humanity.
Preschool – 3 day session
We are attuned to every child’s wellbeing, learning and safety. Programs are also informed by the Australian Anti-bias Curriculum.
That means we activley build programs that contribute to each childs sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming as unique individuals and as significant responsible members of a group where children use ther agency, creativity and perspectives to guide the development of fairness, social justice and friendships amougst us.
It also means we promote children’s wellbeing, play, right to participation in decision making and their right to be take seriously as citizens within Bentley Community. We do this through a complex play of key practices that are shaped simply through responsive, respectful and engaging relationships with children educators, each other, the environment and families input.
Play Group (0-5 years)
Once a week from Term 2, families and their young babies and toddlers play and share the Hall with the preschool Program.
“Bungabee- Backyard Bush Program”
“Bungabee ” is a Bundgalung word meaning “Big Tree” .We feel priviledged to explore Nature pedagogy and Aboriginal and Toress Strait Islands culture in a local ,low cost, low footprint ecological program designed for and by children to adventure beyond the gates of preschool.
Children learn to extend their knowledge and connection to Country heading out to farm and bushland. Using “ways of being ” such as responsibility investigation, mindfulness and stewardship children and adults socialise, listen, research and document learning and wonderings at a ‘slow” unhurried pace .Over time friendships and understandings widen and deepen as children build confidence in each other, confidence in their abilities in the plays and games they invent with affect, intellectual rigour and honesty.
